The Sales and Business Development Team
The Team provides risk management solutions and web-based platforms for corporations, insurers, brokers, governmental agencies, industry bodies, cooperatives, and agribusiness companies to offer smart and cost-effective parametric products to clients.
The Team further originates, mandates, and consults private clients globally on climate, agriculture, and natural catastrophe insurance. The successful candidate will be a part of the Sales and Business Development team, reporting to the Head of Business Development.
The position is full-time and will be based in London (UK) with travel for business development, client management and conferences globally.
You actively originate, analyse, and assess submissions from clients and brokers
You drive global business expansion by gaining access and opening doors with a particular focus on (re)insurance companies and brokers.
You make a strong contribution to reaching business development goals and targets through effective deal origination. You are actively involved in identifying key stakeholders from initial contact all the way through to deal closure.
You support in optimizing workflows, assist with the enhancement of internal processes and communication within the Business Development team and towards the Underwriting and R&D team.
You build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and other distribution channels with focus on the London (re)insurance market to enhance deal origination opportunities.
You have sales responsibility for CelsiusPro Group risk transfer products, technology services for target sectors to close the protection gap.
You cultivate strong relationships with assigned key consulting accounts. Serve as the primary point of business contact for clients, understanding their unique needs, challenges, and goals, as well as communicating the market needs to Products and Technology teams.
You identify and lead negotiations for upselling opportunities, ensuring that terms, pricing, and contractual agreements align with company objectives and policies.
Proven track record of experience in the (re)insurance industry and claiming an extensive network of Brokers contacts.
At least 5 years of experience of building strong relationships with large corporate organisations and leveraging for value.
Extensive working experience, with a focus on business development and climate and NatCat deal origination.
Passionate and experienced in climate and NatCat related risks and the (re)insurance market in general.
Proven tenacity and perseverance in navigating external and internal stakeholders to overcome challenges in sales lifecycle of parametric (re)insurance transactions.
Proven ability to successfully bring transactions ‘over the finish line’.
Strong presentation skills, particularly for in-person or virtual meetings with multiple stakeholders.
Ability to understand complex technical requirements and work with Product and R&D teams to determine solutions for our clients.
Demonstrated ability in recognizing current trends within the (re)insurance market and formulating tailored sales strategies that align with market requirements.
Proven ability to participate in complex negotiations involving bespoke commercial agreements.
Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills.
Languages: Fluency in English. German and Spanish are assets.
You are a strong team player with strong analytical and inter-personal skills. You are solution and results oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a structured and timely manner. You are comfortable working in a global team in different time zones and cultures.
