Consulting – Working Student

CelsiusPro AG is a consulting and technology company based in Zurich specialising in climate risk assessment, modelling as well as designing parametric insurance and derivative contracts (climate, natural catastrophes, agricultural livestock and yield). We provide risk management solutions and web-based platforms for corporations, insurers, brokers, governmental agencies, industry bodies, cooperatives and agribusiness companies to offer smart and cost-effective products to clients

The Consulting team CelsiusPro consulting team provides consulting services for public and private sector clients on climate risk assessment, modeling and in the design of inclusive climate and NatCat insurance schemes. One of its mandates is the management of the Technical Assistance Facility (TAF) of the InsuResilience Investment Fund (IIF). IIF is managed by BlueOrchard Impact (BO) finance, a member of Schroeder's group, with whom CelsiusPro collaborates closely. As the TAF Manager, we facilitate access to the technical assistance funds made available to IIF investees. The projects funded by the TAF aim to increase the financial resilience of low-income populations by increasing the uptake of climate insurance. We are now looking to recruit a working student to support our consulting team in diverse tasks concerning the IIF TAF.

Your tasks are:

  • Support with key client management: InsuResilience Investment Fund (IIF) & BO

  • Contribute to pre-investment due diligence of IIF prospect investees across Africa, LatAm and Asia

  • Administrative and research support throughout the technical assistance project lifecycle

  • Support in drafting quarterly and annual IIF reports, ad hoc and other impact reporting

You have:

  • Master student completing studies in economics, finance, business, political science, development, environmental science

  • Experience managing complex operational procedures and guidelines

  • The ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders with diverging priorities

  • Knowledge of micro-insurance & financial inclusion topics as well as climate risk & climate adaptation topics are an advantage

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills

  • Experience in LatAm, African and/or Asian markets preferred

  • Fluency in English. French and/or Spanish are a great advantage

You are a team player with strong analytical and interpersonal skills. You are curious and bring passion and innovation to consulting. You are solution and results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a structured and timely manner.

The possibility to gain valuable work experience in consulting, climate risk assessment, climate insurance and development finance and assistance.
